Pausing
Pausing the machine during knitting implies that the knit can be resumed.
There are two ways to do it:
1. Using the menu dial: Turn the dial until you read 'Pause' in the display and click the button to pause. 'Pause' will halt your progress when knitting, but does not delete it. Select the function again to continue knitting.
2. Triggering a sensor: opening a door or lifting the side tensioner sensor can also be a way to quickly pause it. Clear the sensor and click on the black wheel twice to resume.
Restarting
There are several situations in which we will want to restart the machine, for example:
- when a knit is finished, to roll the fabric out of the machine
- when the machine is on and we insert the SD card to start a new knitting program
There is a quick way of rebooting the machine without having to turn it off completely from the rear switch.
There is a small restart button hidden in the back of the LED screen. You can feel it if you slip the tip of your finger behind it as shown in this picture:
With this other image taken from the back, you can get a better idea of the size of the button:
Please note that rebooting the machine during a knitting process will cancel the program and it won't be possible to resume it.
Stopping
The fastest way of stopping the machine while knitting is to press the emergency button. This will halt your progress when knitting and it will also delete it. Pressing the emergency button means you will have to start over from the beginning, so only use it in case of emergency. After solving the emergency, shortly twist the button in the direction of the arrows to turn the machine back on. Take off the knitting and restart your programme from the beginning.
