Before you start knitting, always check the following:
Software
- Selected correct feeders for waste yarn, draw thread, and knitting yarn
- Speed, stitch size, and roller take-down adjusted to yarn and pattern
- Right program loaded on the SD card and named 'command.kc'
Machine
- All needles are in good condition
- All parts are properly lubricated, oily to touch
- Needle beds are clean of any debris, yarns, etc
- Doors are closed
- No machine errors; no error lights
- SD card with ‘command.kc’ file inserted
- All yarns are threaded in the correct paths
- All yarn positions match with the programmed feeders
- No yarns are crossing
- Tension settings are right
- Knot sensor set right
- Enough yarn on the cones to knit your program
- All yarns are clamped
- All used feeders are positioned between the clamp and the needle bed
- Any feeders that aren’t used are placed on the far left of the bed
In case you are making your final piece:
- Have made a successful tension swatch and sample with this yarn before knitting your piece
- Make sure all sizes are correct
