Depending on what piece of a garment you are working on, you might need to use one or another command (or all of them).
in this article we will take a look at:
1. Generating increase transfers
2. Generating decrease transfers
2. Generating the neckline shaping transfers
GENERATE SINGLE-STITCH INCREASE TRANSFERS:
This command will only work when we have a shape with increases.
Open the Increase transfers command and pick a selection (the whole area with increases). Click on the gray rectangle to apply the selection.
The increase transfers automatically appear on your canvas. Modifying any of the options in the command box will show the changes straight away on the canvas and/or options column.
Please note that the default values for speed, stitch size and roller might are only a guideline and may have to be adjusted according to your yarn.
GENERATE DECREASE TRANSFERS:
This command will only work when we have a shape with decreases.
Open the Decrease transfers command and pick a selection (the whole area with decreases). Click on the gray rectangle to apply the selection.
Decrease transfers automatically appear on your canvas. Modifying any of the options in the command box will show the changes straight away on the canvas and/or options column.
Please note that the default values for speed, stitch size and roller might are only a guideline and may have to be adjusted according to your yarn.
GENERATE THE NECKLINE SHAPING TRANSFERS:
This command will only work when you have a neck shape, in front or back panels, which requires splitting the knit into 2 parallel sections knitted by 2 different feeders to create the shape of the neck. Transfers will be automatically generated for all 1 and 2 stitch decreases and also a center bind off if needed.
Open the Neckline shaping command and pick a selection. Make sure you select the whole area with shape (armhole and neckline).
The set-in part at the bottom of the armhole will probably have to be finished with a bind off at each side.
