Machine Setup Woes
My machine arrived today. Unfortunately, the crate was damaged in it's overland transit from the West Coast and the machine essentially arrived completely uncrated. When my movers tried to jack up the pallet today, the pallet fell apart. I don't really understand how this all happened, since the machine is supposed to be bolted to the pallet and the sides cross nailed.
There seems to be some damage to the mast where the yarn is tensioned. A wheel and spring assembly is completely missing. (Yes, I've emailed Gerard) When I power on the machine, the LCD panel does come on, but nothing else happens. The machine just says it's waiting for the carriage and all the sensors on the mast are red.
I'm not even sure how to begin trouble shooting, or how to tell if anything else is broken. If anyone would be able to walk through this with me or has a suggestion on where to start, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the update. Could you provide a picture of the mast damage? We will definitely reinforce those crates!
Please visit page 46 from the instructions manual for more information about the sensors. Basically, all the red lights from the top yarn control units should be off. The tension arm should be horizontal and the knot sensor vertical.
Have a look at the clump sensor as well to make sure it is not giving you an error.
Let me know if you have further questions,
I was able to clear the issue with the clump sensor. One of the metal tabs was crooked.
The first arm is missing a knob and the second arm is missing the wheel, spring and post.
I had some people over on the FB group look at my threading last night and they can't figure out what's wrong.0
For the machine to be operative, those red lights should be off. Could you pivot the knot sensors to their vertical position? As seen in green below
Sorry to hear about those missing pieces from the yarn control units. Have you inspected the machine crate and the plastic wrap? If you can't find them, reach out to email@example.com and we will arrange a replacement.
Looks like Gerard Rubio has given you instructions for the feeder sensors, and for the clump sensors.
I you would like, we are happy to jjump on a zoom call with you to show how to get the machine running.
We are not allowed to share emails on here so Gerard Rubio can you share our email address please.
Alternatively if you search google for our name and 'ingmarson' you should be able to find us and email us from there so we can setup a zoom call.
I think I found your website. I would appreciate a Zoom call. I got all the errors cleared and the carriage moves, but doesn't knit.
I'm on the East Coast US, which may complicate scheduling. I'll try sending you an email.0
Hi - Hope you are now sorted, and that the zoom called helped.
Wondering if it would be worth doing a video for new machine owners that goes through everything we went through on the call - what do you think?

Hi Robert Ingemarsson. I don't think my machine will be arriving until early next year, but I would certainly be interested in having access to an in-depth machine orientation video when I it does.0
Hi - hoping there will be some
Great intro videos by then - I know there are a few people looking to create some - we may well do one ourself :)0
