WIFI Enable your Kniterate Machine
So, with knit on demand, we find we are constantly having to remove the SD-Card, replace the command.kc file with the knit we want, replace the card and knit the garment.
Taking the card in and out of the machine definitely adds wear to the machine, and we want to be able to leave it in the machine, and hide it away from any accidental damage that could occur.
To make the process easier, we have WIFI enabled our kniterate machine with a SD-CARD from FYSETC. The unit slides into the machine, take a separate Micro SD card, and is wifi enabled.
This allows us to automatically transfer the correct command.kc file to the machine, and then with a restart of the machine, we can knit the required garment. As a double check, we have a message in the top of the kCode with the product name so we can validate we have the correct file before starting knitting.
We originally used a FlashAir SD Card however these were expensive and un-reliable so have just moved to this new card.
The git repository for information is here

Remember this has NOT been approved by Kniterate, and is our own work completely and as such we are not liable for any damage that may happen should you try and implement your own WIFI SD Card enabled Kniterate Machine
(Sorry for the caveat, but you never know what may happen...)
