I've done this only a couple of times so far and it's generally gone pretty smoothly. The only issues I found were that DAK would not generate a Kniterate file if I chose “no rib” as an option. (This was a while ago and I notified Kniterate, so it might be fixed by now.) And the second issue was with the yarn symbol in DAK defaulting to the letter “L”, but I believe it was you who advised that these symbols can be changed in DAK. Once I figured both of those things out, everything loaded okay into Kniterate.

Hi Christine, I've knitted a couple of stocking stitch garments. Vee necks and V neck cardigans are easy to knit as the fashioned decreases and increases work well. Round necked garments are a challenge. The bind off at the middle of the front neckline is problematic which leads the dropped stitches and futher tweaking of roll and stitch size. I'm going to try and knit a round garment in the same yarn and see if the problem still persists though.

I've asked for three stitch decreases so partial rows can be knitted for shoulder slopes as an example

I'm just trying a knit and purl pattern from DAK but this required further transfer of stitches to and from the back bed and front beds. I'm doing this as a cut and sew project without the armhole decreases which will require a manual transfer of the stitches from the back bed to the front for the transfers to happen.

Is Dak still not able to knit a band for a cardigan with buttonholes.   I have knitted a small plain cardigan. My Goal is to integrate a pattern on a cardigan and knit a band. Not sure how long that will take.  Maybe in the next update.

    Hi Catriona,

The only workround I know is to knit a swatch in full needle rib in the app. then figure out your swatch measurements. You can then measure the perimeter of the fronts and backs in DAK to work out how many stitches and rows of rib to knit.  Buttonholes is another wish list item. For now I've just used the ones on my sewing machine which seem to work okay for now

@... I have not yet tried to shape a round neck line, but imagine it is challenging. I will probably start some tests next week and plan to take taking a close look at the settings for the “Kniterate Sweater”, which I believe the buck file is saved in the google drive.
