2. Moving the machine to its final location
Remember the machine is very heavy, and we recommend you hire professional movers (like piano, furniture, fridges, etc. movers) so you don't take unnecessary risks and make sure the machine arrives safely to its final location.
To choose the right table and for further information, please read this article.
Please take a look at this video to see how the machine is uncrated.
To move the machine more easily, it can be split into two parts. Here is a document with instructions.
3. Removing the knitted sample and the plastic protection film
When the machine is on its table or workbench, it’s time to remove the knitted sample and all the plastic protection film.
The knitted sample that comes with the machine has already been dropped from the needles. It will come off the machine automatically when you run the warm-up file (see next point). In case you need to remove it before turning on the machine, you can pull it down firmly to get it off the rollers.
4. Oiling and warming-up
Before you turn on the machine, please oil the machine. We recommend regular sewing machine oil. Fill up the empty bottle with the brush and watch this video:
Then it will be time to run the warm-up file. This file is already on the SD card. Insert the card in the slot, turn on the machine, and press on the black wheel. Preferably run it entirely. The machine should NOT have any yarn threaded to run this file.
5. Setting up the machine
The machine instructions manual provides further information on setting up the machine (threading, tensions, etc.).
6. Start knitting!

Here’s the software manual. Please read the documentation carefully.
In this folder, you'll find some K-code files that can be knitted, k-code specs, and files that can be downloaded and loaded into the design app to be edited and knitted.
Please note that .kc files can not be imported into the Kniterate design app; they are text files that the machine reads.
