Project wrapping around rollers

This is the second time this has happened to me. 

I checked to make sure the cast on exited the rollers, just in case. Some time after that, the cast on went back through the rollers and I had to pull the knitting free of the machine. 

The cast on is 2/14 acrylic, the project yarn is 2/8 cotton.

What can I do to prevent this?

  Try cutting the waste and draw thread yarns close to the knit after they have been knitted in .

  We do this for all our knits.
