What kind of Oil do I need to lubricate my machine?

I need to purchase oil for my new Kniterate, but I cannot find any specifications for the type of oil needed to lubricate the Kniterate.  Please tell me what type of oil is needed or provide a link to the instructions / definition of exactly what kind of oil should be used.
