Yarns/colors 1 to 6: Select a yarn to draw in that yarn/color
You can assign any of the 6 colors to any of the 6 feeders the machine has. When a new design is started, the piece in the canvas is single jersey with one color, in feeder 3.
If you select any other color and paint on the canvas with it, you are adding more feeders into the piece. You can see the square buttons being outlined as they are used in the canvas.
When a new design is created, these 6 squares have a different color assigned, these colors are selected for representation purposes only. They can be changed, for example to match the colors of the yarns you are intending to use to have a more approximate representation of the output, or to provide better visualization in case of color vision deficiency. Or simply because some other colors are preferred.
When an image is imported, if a yarn feeder has not been assigned, the square box will appear black with a red strike-through. You can still choose to add this yarn feeder if you want to use an extra color.
To change the color, click on the yarn feeder you’d like to change and hold the button for a second, a color palette will show up, allowing you to swap the current color for any of the available ones.
Swapping yarn feeders
Swapping feeders can be very convenient especially if you have your machine threaded in a certain way. You might want to adapt the feeders from the design to the yarns on your machine, and not the other way around. To do that, click on the yarn feeder you’d like to change and hold the button for a second, below the color palette that shows up you’ll find all the feeders except the selected one. Click on a feeder to swap places with the selected one.
